Most railway organizations produce some form of environmental and/or sustainability report. These vary considerably between organizations- some produce state-of-the art sustainability reports using the latest Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) indicators, while others include a chapter in their general Corporate Report. Another common approach is to publish the environmental policy or strategy online.
The document below lists web links to the environmental or sustainability reports produced by the majority of signatories to the UIC Declaration on Sustainable Development and Mobility. In addition, the UIC and several railway companies (SNCF, DB and Korean Rail) are also active members of the UN Global Compact, which implies a commitment to regular reporting on the implementation of sustainable development policies.
